I’m a leadership and organizational development consultant based in Bellevue, Washington.
I’ve worked with leaders and teams at all levels, at times of growth, industry and company crisis, and transformational change.
I’ve built and led human resource development functions–focused on both personal learning and organizational growth — helping individuals, teams, and organizations to:
- clarify their values, purpose, and priorities
- grow leadership capability
- improve team effectiveness and strategic planning capability
- enhance individual performance through coaching, training and personal development experiences
I’ve developed and led leadership and executive development strategies for multi-billion dollar companies, and coached front line leaders; helped develop strategic plans for non-profits and billion-dollar business units; supported the re-engineering and revitalization of IT, Finance, HR, and other administrative functions; and helped feuding operational teams find common ground.
My experience includes:
- 12 years as VP, Learning and Development at Nordstrom
- Building the Management and Organizational Development function at Fidelity Investments
- Executive development, organizational development, and corporate training roles in financial services, health care, and higher education
- Consulting projects including custom learning, team development, faculty development, and leadership coaching
There are plenty of models, tools, and techniques in the field of leadership learning and organizational development. I use my experience to select the most relevant and useful approaches for you, and help you translate them into performance and results.
I hold Masters and Doctoral degrees in Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I belong to the OD Network, American Society for Training and Development, and to HR | People & Strategy (HRPS). I’m a founding Board Member of the Pacific Northwest affiliate of HRPS, and served as affiliate President in 2007 and Co-President in 2010.
